Is Tai Lopez A Scam? Who Is Tai Lopez? (LEGIT Review)

Is Tai Lopez A Scam? Who Is Tai Lopez? (LEGIT Review)

“Is Tai Lopez a scam? Who is Tai Lopez? Is he legit? Is he for real? Is he even actually rich?”

There’s been a lot of buzz about Tai Lopez since he came on the scene in the early 2010’s.

And there’s been a lot of talk online about who this guy really is: some favorable and some not-so-favorable.

But most of the people who write “reviews” don’t have all the information necessary to write a credible post (stay away from Reddit…).

A lot of them will tell you all these lies, telling you he’s being “exposed,” and that he’s not actually rich.

And as a result most people are left wondering: “So… Is he real or fake? Is it a scam or real?”

tai lopez scam

Fear not.

I’ve personally bought his courses, attended his bootcamps, met him in person, and talked business with multiple of his top students.

So please know that when I tell you something about this man, it’s legit and credible.

And I can tell you for a fact that he’s actually rich and 100% for real.

After all, you don’t get to be featured on Entrepreneur, Forbes, CNBC, and other elite publications by being a fraud or a scam artist.

So is Tai Lopez a scam?

No.

The house is real. The cars are real. All the money is real.

More importantly, he’s the mastermind that made it all happen.

And it’s what’s helped him rise to the level of fame and notoriety he currently enjoys.

But with all the fame, notoriety, and money, a lot of people are still left wondering… what does Tai Lopez actually do?

What Does Tai Lopez Do? Is He Legit?

All in all, Tai Lopez is a serial entrepreneur, investor, and advisor to multi-million dollar companies.

But to better understand what he really does, let’s take a deeper look.

Early Life

Tai was born in Long Beach, CA, where his mother and grandmother raised him since his father was in prison when he was growing up.

Tai frequently mentions how he didn’t have a father growing up, and he explains how helpful books and mentoring have been to his success since he didn’t have much masculine guidance growing up.

He grew up in a fairly poor area, and he found that reading books provided an escape from that often cruel world.

In fact, he found solace from gang violence during his teenage years by reading the works of Aristotle.

After a stint with the Amish for about two years, he moved back in with his mom into a mobile home, wondering “if this was really it.”

Then he met his first mentor Joel Salatin who is an American farmer, lecturer, and author.

Joel provided a lot of the mentorship and guidance that was missing from Tai’s early years, and Tai credits a lot of his success to Joel.

He then went on to build multiple businesses, including LLG Financial, Elite Global Dating, and others.

However,  after having had success in business, he realized that he wanted to give back and help others how to do the same.

Which is when he famously exploded onto the scene with his famous “Here In My Garage” video.

“Here In My Garage”

This video was one of the first ads that Tai put out there, which was promoting one his courses called “The 67 Steps.”

To be honest, it’s a piece of brilliant marketing.

From the camera constantly moving back and forth between the books and the Lamborghini… to the usage of the Lamborghini itself… to the fact that it was authentically filmed on a simple little iPhone… to the actual words spoken in the video, as well as the order in which they’re spoken…

Point is: it’s a great lesson in marketing, for reasons that are too long to get into in this post.

But if you’re someone who wants to make money, it would behoove you to study what Tai Lopez does.

Starting with that video.

It’s a wonderful showing of brilliant marketing that most people ironically seem to mock.

But like he says, let them mock him.

He’s the one making money and changing lives from it.

Which brings me to one of his first and most famous courses, which that video was promoting, The 67 Steps.

67 Steps Program by Tai Lopez

The 67 Steps are a collection of principles, thoughts, and sayings that have impacted Tai’s life over the years.

As a personal purchaser of the course, I can tell you that every video is packed with value.

While he obviously can’t show you everything he’s learned in 67 thirty-minute videos, he still shares some immensely profound concepts that can really change your life.

And it shows by some of the testimonials out there.

All in all, this was Tai’s first course that helped him give back.

It was how he started to help change lives like he changed his own.

After creating, and successfully distributing, the 67 Steps to the Good Life, he went on to create courses that revolved more around making money.

And his most famous one to date is perhaps his Social Media Marketing Agency program.

Social Media Marketing Agency (SMMA) Program by Tai Lopez

This is where some people start to say that Tai Lopez is a “scam artist.”

It’s these courses that prompt people to Google: “Is Tai Lopez a scam?”

Like I’ve already said, no.

He’s NOT a scam.

With success stories like these (scroll to the bottom), who can argue that his stuff doesn’t work?

He also gives a full 30-day refund on every single one of his programs (no questions asked).

It doesn’t sound like someone who’s trying to scam you, does it?

Now, I won’t go into the program too much in this post, but having bought it myself, I can tell you it’s absolutely filled with value.

There’s over a hundred hours of valuable content, not just from Tai but also from other experts, some of whom are even more successful than him!

So anyone that says Tai doesn’t deliver on his promises is either a liar, lazy, or insane.

It’s like Tai says, “Does going to the gym and eating healthy work? Yes, if you are consistent with it and don’t try cheat the system.”

It’s the same thing with making money.

But it seems that most people looking to make money today are lazy, entitled, and looking for the magic button that will get them all the results they desire without having to put in the work.

And they think Tai Lopez’s SMMA course is that “magic button” and are disappointed when it doesn’t “work.”

Newsflash: buying a course isn’t going to make Wells Fargo or Bank of America or whatever bank you use put $1,000,000 more into your account.

That’s where the true scam is.

It’s in people thinking they can get something for nothing.

And these same people go around telling the whole world that Tai Lopez is a scam when the reality is that they’re just lazy, and entitled.

I mean, if you’re looking for a magic button, then yes, Tai Lopez is a total scam.

*sigh*

I can’t believe I have to say this, but that’s not how the world works…

Just like with anything else worth having, you have to put in the work to get it.

However, if you are willing to put in the work to get it, Tai’s SMMA course (or any of his other courses like Credit Mentor or his Real Estate Flipping Program) can help get you there.

Most importantly, he clearly knows what he’s talking about when it comes to social media.

Tai has 2.9 million followers on Instagram, 6.2 million fans on Facebook, 1 million subscribers on YouTube, and 1.2 million followers on Twitter.

And he clearly also knows what he’s talking about when it comes to making money.

Net Worth

No one really knows what Tai’s true net worth is. I don’t care what they say.

If you don’t get it straight from him or one of his close associates, I wouldn’t trust it.

Now, if you Google it, you’ll find his “estimated” net worth to be about $60 million.

But like I said, those numbers are always unreliable. And you should never rely on them to figure out how rich someone really is.

Still, with a house like this:

tai lopez house

And cars like this:

cars lamborghini

You can bet his net worth is pretty high.

Books & Knowledge

Aside from all the fancy cars, the fancy house, and the beautiful women, tai lopez is all about books.

And knowledge.

And even what some might call a “knowledge society” in Mentor Box, which is mostly run by his business partner Alex Mehr.

Tai claims over and over again that mentors and books are what’s provided him with the guidance and knowledge to get to where he is today.

And it makes sense.

If you know what you’re doing and you have people to guide you along the way, how hard can it be to get to your destination?

Anyways, here’s a shortened list of Tai Lopez’s favorite books in order:

  1. Managing Oneself by Peter Drucker
  2. Evolutionary Psychology by David Buss
  3. Civilization and Its Discontents by Sigmund Freud
  4. How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie
  5. Total Recall by Arnold Schwarzenegger
  6. The Selfish Gene by Richard Dawkins
  7. The Lessons of History by Will & Ariel Durant
  8. Kon-Tiki by Thor Heyerdahl
  9. When I Stop Talking, You’ll Know I’m Dead by Jerry Weintraub
  10. The Folly of Fools by Robert Trivers
  11. The H-Factor of Personality by Kibeom Lee & Michael Ashton
  12. The One Thing by Gary Keller
  13. The Greatest Minds and Ideas of All Time by Will Durant
  14. The Complete Story of Civilization by Will Durant
  15. Made in America by Sam Walton
  16. The Decision Book by Mikael Krogerus
  17. Poor Charlie’s Almanack by Peter Kaufman
  18. Disrupt You! by Jay Samit
  19. A Few Lessons for Investors and Managers from Warren Buffet by Peter Bevelin
  20. Michael Jordan: The Life by Roland Lazenby

Those are some of the books recommended by Tai.

There are also other forms of knowledge that Tai loves other than books, such as podcasts, videos, and even Ted Talks.

Tai Lopez’s Ted Talk

Not surprisingly, he talks a big game about books in his ted talk.

And to be honest, if everyone took his advice we would probably be a much more educated, efficient, and kind civilization.

Instead, there’s a bunch of people calling him a scammer or a con artist.

Which is hilarious.

Because those who don’t have reaped the benefits, as you can see on Tai Lopez’s testimonials page.

CONCLUSION

In my opinion, Tai is the real deal.

He’s an incredibly smart guy and his success stories speak for themselves.

Almost every time I hear him talk I get a ton of value out of it.

The people calling him a fraud are, in my opinion, not well-informed or just hating.

Maybe they hate him because they built a life they don’t think they themselves can build.

But they can!

It’s like Warren Buffet said: “The best investment you can make is in yourself. The more you learn, the more you earn.”

That’s exactly what Tai teaches: investing in books, courses, and mentors.

And if you don’t have the money to invest, that’s okay!

There’s plenty of free information on the Internet. Like YouTube videos, blogs, or even Tai’s Instagram, where he’s constantly teaching new things.

In my opinion (and I’m obviously biased), one of the best ways to start is with the Online Business Blueprint.

It is the simplest step-by-step system we’ve found here at Side Hustle Funds to make an extra 6 figures from your laptop.

And you can download it completely for FREE below, courtesy of the always friendly Gerry Hustle:

By the way, if you were wondering how Tai Lopez makes so much money selling his courses…

He’s using the Online Business Blueprint.

Because it’s simple, scalable, and easy to copy.

That’s why you see so many people selling stuff online.

Because it works.

Anyways, if you want to learn more about Tai or start following him to get a better feel for what he’s about, here’s where you can find him:
